"Urgehal perform classic styled black metal in the vein of Mayhem and Darkthrone with all the ferocity one could ask for. I was once exposed to them through their semi-classic Arma Christie, and felt obligated to pick this one up too. While it wasn't an outright modern classic, I have to admire groups that deviate from popular trends (the melodic black metal styligns of Dimmu Borgir come to mind) and use solid songwriting techniques to further enhance the listening experience.



As my title indicates, this album is not the most original release in modern years, but for an afternoon of solid metal listening, it comes recommended. On the other hand, for fans of Mayhem styled black metal, it comes very highly recommended. Est kholde und uberkvlt Norske black metal
