After releasing "Dive In" in 1993 and "Up for Air "in 1995 the band disappeared for awhile. This project really shows us what the jazz world has missed over the last 10 years. In 2005 they did a live performance in Seattle to give us a taste of what we were missing and what to hope for in the future. Now in 2007, they are back with an outstanding CD for our entertainment pleasure.
Note for yourself the range UTL presents on all 14 cuts. Each song provides you with a unique jazz experience! I find myself deep into to each one with awe and inspiration. If you love jazz you will enjoy the work on this project. The group does an excellent job of featuring their own individual style and instruments in a collaborative fashion, from the funky bass and drums to the guitar grooves, melodic keyboards and sexy saxophone. The band is made up of Jayson Tipp on Keyboards, Nathan Brown on Bass, Richard "Chef RnB" Sellers on Drums, David Harris on Guitar and "fnkysax", Quintin Gerard W on Saxophone & Flute.
