"I bought this item strictly for the Bartok Contrasts. I'd listened to the version with Benny Goodman innumerable times, for the specific purpose of writing a narrative to it. This version brought out more clearly than I had heard before the characters and roles of the three instruments, especially the piano, and especially in the third section (Sebes) where it quietly murmurs beneath the delicate violin and clarinet harmonies. The feeling of the dance is much more clearly felt here for the tempo as well as the richness of sound. I am familiar with the Stravinsky and am very pleased with it too. The others I don't know. The playing of Trio Contrastes is both sensuous and precise. I purchased it after hearing numerous excerpts that you can get on the various sites and am thoroughly pleased."
