Synopsis

Album Description
"Foundation" is a highly personal, emotionally penetrating popcraft guaranteed to create an unbreakable bond with her legions of listeners. Stripped down to the essentials, this album exemplifies that less is more although it?s textured enough to give you a range of sensation to feel something. Don?t expect bells and whistles, just the clean, powerful surge of Hamlin?s voice and instrumentation . . . and maybe the sound of your own racing pulse. "Foundation" - All beautiful things are best laid bare. -Mary Edwards

CD Reviews

In a word, impressive. In five, impressive, impressive, ....

(5 out of 5 stars)

""When you first hear Leave, the second song on Foundation, you search for
where you might have listened to it previously. Then you realize that
there is such a familiarity in all of the songs on this album that Trina
Hamlin has done something all soulful pop musicians wish they could do:
revivify. At first I thought One Good Reason sounded like Tina Turner's
earlier amazing work. You Can't Remember is moving and soft at the
beginning but builds to this chilling intensity that gets in your blood.
This honest, brilliant cd manages to highlight a distinct voice (and one
hell of a harmonica player) and sound utterly new while constantly
referring to its obvious blues, soul and alternative pop roots. A unity
is achieved as these sounds fuse together. In a word, impressive. In
five, impressive, impressive, impressive, impressive, impressive.""
