Really Good CD!

"I just received this off my WishList and thought I'd share a few thoughts on it. I'm a big Gary Allan fan so I was excited to see that he'd been chosen for this CD series even though I'm not a big fan of this genre. While it's a little strange to hear his music without him putting his voice to it, I thought it was interesting to hear the bluegrass treatment. It's very musically appealing and the musicians are quite talented. I like the song selections for the most part ---- it would have been nice to hear some of Gary's first hits --- Forever and A Day or It Would Be You ---- but in all, they did a good job of covering his most recent hits. The only one that doesn't make the cut is "The One". I've listened to this CD a few times now and this just doesn't sound enough like the original to me --- in fact, if it wasn't for the track listings, I'm not sure I'd have recognized this at all. But, be that as it may, it's quite thrilling to see Gary getting a bow from this CD series. He is underrated and it's cool to see him getting some recognition from others in the industry."
