"Trevor Jones is the composer to the music in this film. If you recall he co-composed the music to The Last of the Mohicans and the two have a similar theme. Cliffhangers main theme is used through out the score as a romantic piece and as an action cue. Trevor Jones has done a great job on his scores. I would also recommend picking up Last of the Mohicans, Thirteen days, and From Hell as he has composed these as well. Awesome you won't regret getting this."

"Trevor Jones nails it again in this thrilling score to Cliffhanger. The main theme is similar to what he composed for The Last of the Mohicans and sounds absolutely breathtaking especially when played with the awesome mountain range in the background. It is a full orchestral piece with soaring strings and knockout brass found in "Cliffhanger Theme", "I Understand", "Fireside Chat", "Frank's Demise", and the knockout "End Credits". "Sarah Falls" is an exciting action cue with plenty of tense and fast played string lines and the ending contains melancholy bells ringing signifying that death has taken place. "Bats" is another good action cue with plenty of string attacks, as well as "Kynette Is Impaled" which contains pulsating trumpets and militaristic snare drums. The score ends with a knockout suite of the main theme in a 7 minute long track. The theme itself is a definite 5 star rating, but the majority of the middle tracks contain mainly filler music that doesn't stand out too much, but is still good. Some tracks contain great action music and when the main theme is heard, it really stands out and turns heads. Overall, this is a great score that I hope to see much more of coming from Trevor Jones in the future."
