In October of 2003, Tom toured the UK for the 39th time. The audiences were warm and plentiful and treated him like a returning family member. Greeting fans in the lobby after the performances, Tom had couples tell him their first date had been at one of his concerts, or that one of his songs had been sung at their wedding. This was not a pre-meditated live recording. His friends, two-time Grammy winners Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer were with him to accompany Tom and to dazzle the audiences with their musicianship. Cathy recorded all ten concerts on her mini-disc recorder. When the three of them heard the tapes, they unanimously decided that this CD had to happen.
