Synopsis

Album Description
Welcome to the Playlist series. We've fished through hundreds of tracks to cherry pick the perfect playlists. Not just the hits, but...the life-changing songs. The out-of-print tracks. The fan favorites everyone loves. The songs that make the artists who they are. You'll no doubt enjoy the sound of the beautifully remastered songs on this CD, unlike the compromised sound of an MP3 file. You might also like the fact that the packages are environmentally-friendly (no plastic, 100% recycled paper). But we think the thing you'll appreciate most about this Playlist is that even though you didn't make it, you might wish you did. This package has been created with the environment in mind. All of the paperboard is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable. Of course, we would prefer that you not throw this package or CD away. We would prefer that you keep it in your collection to enjoy for many years to come! Full liner notes, photos, and more included as a PDF file on this CD. Enjoy!

CD Reviews

Truly the "Very Best of TLC"!
iPod Fan 3 | 10/24/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"One day I was just searching random CDs on Amazon, and I decided to search for TLC. Let me mention that TLC was my favorite group growing up. My very first CD was "FanMail" and then "CrazySexyCool" and "Oooooooohhh! On the TLC Tip!" came very soon after. If anything, I loved the way that each of the members were noticeably different, but blended together so well. Each of their CDs, like the members, had a different style, but were each amazing in their own way.

Anyway, When searching for TLC I saw that the "Playlist" series was going to make a CD for TLC. At first I thought "Oh great ANOTHER cheaply made TLC compilation!" (If you look at TLC's CDs on Amazon, there are about a million of them! Even their official compilation didn't do it for me), but then I looked at the track listing, and I new I had to get this collection.

It features all their massive hits in their full album version glory (unlike the radio edits used on "Now and Forever") and leaves of minor hits (Hat 2 Da Back, Dear Lie, Hands Up, and Turntable). I might should note here that even though it says it is the rap version of "No Scrubs" it's unfortunately the no rap album version. It also includes "Get It Up" from the "Poetic Justice" soundtrack (again, full version: not the radio edit), the Prince cover "If I Was Your Girlfriend," (a fan-favorite) and "Das Da Way We Like 'Em" from their first album. At first I thought this inclusion was random, especially considering it was sort of stuck on the end of the track list. But, after listening back to it, I know why. It's sort of a flashback, and it has each member rapping a verse on what they like in men, and this track more than any other, shows their individual uniqueness.

Now, it's still not that perfect collection I was hoping for, but it's a heck of a lot closer than most of their "greatest hits" CDs."
