He is best known as the writer of the pop classics "If I Were a Carpenter", "Don't Make Promises" and "Reason To Believe". Bobby Darin, a great artist in his own right, was helped in his later career by Hardin. Look for "Tim Hardin 9" for more late-period Tim. Musically and sonically head and shoulders above much of what has been produced since (1972). Check out his versions of Midnight Caller and Perfection."
