The Telephones are an independent rock quartet based in Brooklyn, NY, founded in 2001 by singer/guitarist Jesse Adelman and keyboardist Bradley Albert. The Telephones have grown to become one of New York's best-loved and critically-acclaimed unsigned bands, performing songs with big melodies, clever lyrics, and a classic, album-rock sound. In 2009, the band's self-produced and recorded "Volume 1" EP, recorded with bassist Anton Kreisl and drummer Mike Reed, represents a big step forward, claiming new sonic territory.
