Originally released as "The O'Jays in Philadelphia," this
is a compilation of tracks recorded 1969-70, when the group
began working with Gamble/Huff. Three of these were issued
as singles on the Neptune label ("One Night Affair," "Branded
Bad," and "Deeper in Love With You"), and all were moderate
hits on Billboard's soul chart. REAL success would arrive
two years later with "Back Stabbers" and "Love Train," among
others.
