Album Description

Digitally remastered and expanded reissue of this live set from the Hawkwind offshoot outfit. Recorded at Brunel University in November 1978 on the tour to promote the album Hawklords: 25 Years On, the show was Dave Brock and Robert Calvert's vision of a mechanized society that perfectly embraced the influence of the musical New Wave to deliver some of the most effective music written during Calvert's tenure with Hawkwind. This release comprises the band's entire set, newly mixed from the original 24-track tapes and includes four previously unreleased tracks. Atomhenge.

"Here's another fairly recent Hawkwind release that I've heard about, yet I had forgotten about it. Good sound mix - from this ten track / 55 minute live recording - show took place on November 24, 1978 at Brunel University in Uxbridge, UK. Was good to hear the late Bob Calvert (during his last tour with the band) at his peak, as it was refreshing to hear most of these gems that never grow stale - like "25 Years On", the awesome (at least when you hear it played live) "Death Trap", "Rise Of The Micro Man", their once-banned single "Urban Guerilla" and "sonic Attack". A definite should-have."
