Gerard Edery was awarded the 1997 Sephardic Musical Heritage Award for this release and for his work in keeping the songs of the Sephardim alive through his many performances and recordings. Linda Amiga includes six Sephardic Songs and six songs from the Spanish Renaissance.

"This CD is extraordinary! Such a beautiful mix of music that blends together so well. There isn't one dull part of this album. I can listen to it over and over and never get bored - that is the sign of an amazing CD. The production is excellent, musicianship is unbelievable - I've never heard this many amazing musicians on one cd ever! I highly recommend this album to everyone!"
