"The best version of this title on cd was issued by RYKO in the 90's. The Empire Musicwerks series are sonic disasters. They add effects that are not on the original recordings. Avoid like the plague."

"This is one of the greatest collections of Irish folk music ever created. The amazing Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem shine in all their Irish glory on this album. From top to bottom, there isn't a song here that isn't great. It is raw, filled with feelings that range from heavenly cheer to straight despair. Their voices are amazing. Their timing is perfect. This is some of the best music ever played. Regardless of if you are Irish or not, if you drink or not... this album is a must have. RIP Tommy Makem."
