The Chieftains sing and play along with a few guests: Mick Jagger and the Stones, Marianne Faithfull, Sinéad O'Connor, Mark Knopfler, Sting, Tom Jones, Van Morrison… when else will you hear all these voices in one album? Mick Jagger's vocal on "Long Black Veil" is appropriately haunting, Tom Jones' vocal on "The Tennessee Waltz" is, well, Tom Jones…
The album is a treat and is a standard of my drive-time car tunes.
