"Here's a little trivia: What does the Carpenters and the Fifth Dimension have in common aurally? They used the same bass player and drummer in their recordings (Joe Osborne and Hal Blaine). So if you love the Carpenters sound, you will love the Fifth Dimension sound (circa 1970s). You will especially love the 5D's Portrait and Individually/Collectively recordings. I bought this particular CD for Love's Lines, Angles and Rhymes but Portrait sounds so much better (less reverb for one thing and better remastering for another).

These recordings are very precious to me, so I'm in the process of buying every 5D CD that is available at Amazon. Warning: I suggest you do the same, because Collector's Classics are known to stop issuing CDs (abruptly) after 6 months or so. Scarf them up now, even if you don't like some of them.

My Two Cents."

"A lot of familiar songs, but also some unfamiliar songs. If your a Fifth Dimension nut like myself, thats what your after. Has anybody ever done that mixture of Pop and Soul as well as this group? I think not.I waited decades for the release of these albums. I suggest everybody buy these albums and enjoy. They still sound great today..."
A long search is finally fulfilled.....

"The 5th Dimension's LP "Up, Up and Away" was the very FIRST record I ever bought, way back in the 1960's. I'm very familiar with the media of eight-tracks, cassettes, 45 RPM singles, 33 1/3 LPs and now CD/DVDs.

I have been looking for 5th Dimension material for a long, long time.

And now I have purchased all five 2 album CDs from Amazon. A VERY WORTHWHILE AND ENJOYABLE SEARCH IS NOW FULFILLED."
