This is high-toned cabaret or, as she dubs her intimate program, "serious cabaret". If you like Ute Lemper or Bolcom and Morris, you'll enjoy Mary Çarewe. This is her only solo CD to date, but I can't help but believe that more are in the works for this talented soprano. Her big vocal range is matched by her big voice, which regularly accompanies symphonic orchestras in the UK and Europe in programs of modern music and pop, i.e., would you believe a program of James Bond film title songs with the Hallé orchestra?"
