CD ReviewsA beautiful recording Steven Guy | Croydon, South Australia | 09/11/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "I bought this sunny and sweet album a few years ago after my mother died. It is a CD I like to listen to in the afternoons, when I feel like relaxing.
The music here is very fragrant and pastel coloured. The Freiburger BarockConsort use a Baroque wooden transverse flute, Baroque violin, Baroque violoncello, Viola da gamba and a lute (for basso continuo). The music isn't far from the sort of music written by Rameau and his French contemporaries. I recommend this marvellous recording to all music lovers." |
