The romantic hero of freedom

"Giulinis "Eroica" is probably the slowest and most romantic of all interpretations. Not even Klemperer has reached this level. He has given the world a safe guide to the deep and spiritual Beetoven. I hope Giulini will "complete" the "Sonycycle" withe the ninth in this millenium."

"This is THE Eroica version for Beethoven's fans.I agree with the pal below in the general characteristics of the interpretation and I could add the excellence in sound from both, the label and the orchestra (playing as it must be and flawless).They (Giulini and La Scala) achieve a very high level of dramatism throughout all movements, but specially in the "Marcia Funebre", that surpasses by far to von Karajan's (I personally like Karajan's interpretations very much).Go and get this one, you will never regret it and your enjoy will increase everytime you play it!"
