Instruments as diverse as archlute, didgeridoo, tabla, wooden flute, cello and bouzouki, among others, combine to create a lush landscape of sounds, taking the listener on a journey through emotions as relevant today as they were centuries ago. Along with traditional Scottish and Irish melodies are three ?poem-songs? -- classic poems set to music in the Celtic style, and brought to life by the lovely voices of Susan McKeown (the well-known Irish singer), Kathleen Fisher (from the highly acclaimed band "Fisher") and Molly Pasutti. The famous John Keats poem "La Belle Dame Sans Merci" is one of these poems, and has been transformed into a beautiful, haunting song for this CD by Susan Craig Winsberg.
