CD Reviews

DON'T JUDGE A CD BY ITS COVER
03/16/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I own all of Sum 41's albums and think they are all awsome. When I first heard Still Waiting on the radio, the only thing that I could recongize was Deryck's voice. There sound has changed so much-but for the better. I still love their all their songs, from their album "Half an Hour of Power" to this one. Just because they've changed doesn't mean their worse. If you every were a Sum 41 fan and LOVED their stuff, buy this album-it's GARANTEED to grow on you even if you don't like it! The ONLY thing I didn't like about this CD was its cover."
Best Sum 41 album yet, but not incredible music

"Unfortunately, Kevin is right about a lot of things. Punk is supposed to be all about being different, lashing out at society's ills, all that stuff. It just doesn't work when every song is about not conforming (a line I love is from Thanks for Nothing, "I wont....waste my time with further education".. yeah, being able to earn more than minimum wage when you grow up is a real waste of time.. heh)While I'm a fan of thrashy music and all.. Sum 41 keeps trying too hard to be "punk". If you're "punk", you are punk from the moment your band is formed. Not after your third album from a major label. They're just grasping for straws now.Anyway, this is the first album thats really made me take notice of them. Its a decent album, but the politics of the situation make it seem slightly tarnished."
Is this infected?

"This album rules! It combines the rock and rythyms from All Killer No Filler and Half Hour of Power. I was a little dissapointed though, because there is no song titled yesterday.com or the song a**hole. It instead has A.N.I.C. and No Brains. NEVERTHELESS, THIS ALBUM IS DRESSED FOR THE OCCASION!"
