CD Reviews

Their best most mellodic catchiest album to date
Brandon Whitson | 04/18/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"hello fellow metallians , pay no attention to characters like this ross reynolds, all they do is take up space that should be used for good reviews, so that aside, if you are a true metal fan ,and i mean true metal, that includes epic metal, power metal, symphonic, traditional, speed, mellodic and so on, and absolutely no nu metal, i cant believe it is even considerd to be metal. this is an amazing power metal album and to me it has to be stratovarius's crowning achievement. the mellodies are tighter and catchier than ever. this has a similar approach to the musical style as their previous efforts but it also is and was a new beginning for these guys. i love the beautiful erotic female operatics in the distance of some of the songs, it adds to the mellody and really makes the songs more diverse. if you want a more technical sound from these guys then buy their later albums, they to have plenty of mellodies and catchy ballads, but this is the catchiest material they have put out. so if mellody and sing along choruses and power chords with light symphonics is what you crave then give this cd a try. you know how on the next album they hit it big with the catchy as hell song a million light years away, well if you liked that song you will eat this cd up because most the songs here are in that style and most could be singles, so metallians enjoy and others do us a favor and if you are going to review an album just let us know how the band sounds , give us ideas of who they sound like, are they speed, death, fast or slow,or so on, please dont waste space arguing with other reviewers(even if it can be funny hearing other idiotic rude comments)if you like bands like dark moor, kamelot, hammerfall, silent force, thunderstone, sonata arctica and so on then you will surely love stratovarius. your friend in metal, brandon whitson 25 of north carolina"
