CD Reviews

Don't understand the criticism at all
Misha Bendavid | Austin, Texas United States | 10/05/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Why would the previous reviewer complain that this is available ? If you have these great records, you don't need this set, but if you don't, what a bargain ! A ripoff is when you get less than you are paying for, or you are getting some fraudulent replication of the real thing. This is no ripoff. It's fabulously priced. It's sterling, heart felt blues driven rock that soars waayyyy over anything being played now, nineteen years after Stevie left us. I knew Stevie and it's hard to not cry every time I think of him, his gentle spirit, his unquenchable fire for the blues and the way he triumphed over addiction. Nothing to complain about here. Zip.

We all want more, more, more of Stevie, Reese, Chris and Tommy; I'm no exception. But what's available is so good, that there just is no reason to piss and moan that it's been repackaged for the 23rd time or whatever.

Buy. Listen. Love. It doesn't get any better, and like Hendrix and Morrison before him, it never will."
