CD ReviewsStarmarket rocks 06/20/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "Starmarket...a band that has been in the Swedish scene since the early 90's and are just now getting the credit they deserve in the states...but is it too late? Have these swedish rockers gotten old and soft versus the earlier days where the music was in your face punk/post-hardcore? I'd say no. Though this album is much lighter than any of their previous work, the rock is still there...and besides, this band is amazing!I first got into starmarket when dolores records released their "white album". I was hooked from then on.Though this record is amazing, I would recommend starting with their album on POPKID records called "Sunday's worst enemy" (or something like that)...that is a classic Starmarket record!Also, even better than Starmarket, I would recommend Kevlar-"Let Me Worry Some More"! Kevlar is ex-Starmarket (the guitar player and drummer) and they rock! Probably one of the best bands out of Sweden right now! They play sort of a cross between Samiam, Fugazi, Sonic YOuth and Swervedriver! Their record is amazing and if you are a fan of the post-hardcore...and if you like Starmarket, definitely check out Kevlar."
