CD ReviewsQUINTET SESSION John M. | 08/12/2008 (4 out of 5 stars) "A Blue Note quintet session from 1961 with Tommy Turrentine on trumpet and a rhythm section led by Horace Parlan. This has the same cover art as the imported offering and was to have been the follow up to the quartet session - LOOK OUT!-with the same rhythm section Some of the tunes have unusual titles but the music is groovy enough. Just In Time is a CD bonus tune. Stanley plays 2 ballads but the trumpet intro to Then I'll Be Tired of You is a bit trite. Tommy lays out completely on Someone To Watch Over Me and Stanley gives a great performance. Stolen Sweets is taken a bit too fast. Stanley plays a masterful version of it on Shirley Scott's SOUL SHOUTIN' 2 Prestige LPs on 1 CD with Stanley a participant throughout. They just put them under Shirley's name for contractual reasons at the time."
