"Squidboy,who hail from Des Moines, Iowa, are one of the best hard rock bands you never heard of. Their first release on the San Francisco-based Allied label is "Kids Talk to Killers" (Amazon.com got the title wrong). This is some of the smartest, hardest rock and roll without the pretentious baggage most bands carry that are on their end of the spectrum. "Carrot Bug" and "Impotent" sound like Soul Asylum on vivarin. With every listen the songs each take on a life of their own and sound catchy, but not cliched. A great band."
