"Two songs here not released in th U.S., that I could find anyway. Fresh Deadly Roses and Heretic. I first heard them years and years ago, was given a copy on casette, which I would transfer to a new tape when the songs were getting warbly (yes they got a lot of play). Now I have it on CD which makes me very happy since I am still a Soundgarden fan and listen to all of their cd's regularly. I usually don't buy cd's that have content already available on another cd, as this one does (see Godsmacks's "tribute" to Led Zepplin, one new song, the cover, all others previously released) but I fell in love with Fresh Deadly Roses and Heretic so I broke my rule. I like the early rough edges of Soundgarden like Screaming Life as much as the smoother but only slightly more mellow later stuff. So, if you are a casual fan, half the songs on this "Japan only EP" are on Louder Than Love, with the exception of Come Togther and what sounds like a remix of Big Dumb Sex and the above mentioned two songs. If you're more than a casual fan, look for this cd, it is the only way I could get a good copy of Fresh Deadly Roses, one of my top ten favorite SG songs, and Heretic, which has plenty of Chris Cornell's trademark screams. If you've heard Gun, take that scream towards the end and apply it to every chorus of Heretic. It's enough to make you sit down."
