CD Reviews

Addicting!

"This is the first review I have done so far on any CD, but I really felt this one was definitely worth a couple of minutes to rave about. Before I ordered it, I read through some of the reviews listed for it and thought it sounded almost too good to be true according to some. Well, they were right. I remember someone stated they never skip through any of the songs on this one as they would on other CD's (I do the same thing). With this one, I always let it play from beginning to end. I love it & I can't wait to hear some more of what this group has to offer!"
One of the best CDs on the market

"There is no need for the skip button on your CD player when listening to this disc. Every song is terriffic. Beginning with "Hand of Fate" and ending with my personal favorite "Burned in My Mind", this CD does not contain a dud. It is amazing how one band could make a CD with so many good songs when other artists cannot find even one. Most of the songs are written by band frontman, Drew Womack. His writinig talents are unbelievable, in "Leaving October" he writes of a widower's inability to let go of his deceased spouse and how the grief is most unbearable in the month of October. In the song "When It's Right" he writes of how a person should be able to tell if they are in a good relationship without asking. This is a great CD with well written songs and terriffic harmonies. It is hard to believe such talent has been ignored by radio stations accross the country. I reccommend this CD to everybody."
Sons of the Desert - Always ahead of their time!

"If this CD was released today, it would probably tear up the charts. While I wouldn't call Sons of the Desert traditionalists, they are definately true to their roots. Drew Womack's voice is hauntingly unique, and while some of the songs may be lacking in originality of subject matter, they are all quality. No throw away songs on this CD. Their country rock sound is catchy and more appealing to country listeners than the crossover pop style predominating the radio today. I give them a well deserved five stars!!"
