"Sorry, but I totally disagree with Mr.James Yarnall' s comment. I want to believe that it is a mater of taste, of course. The songful, "musical" Bach is a kind of performance of yesterday. Today, the things are different -I don't say better or worse- and the way new musicians see Bach's music is something like this. In this area Ms. Ibragimova is excellent -and I have heard over two dozens performances of solo violin Bach. All is too clear, too complete, but never cold. We can fully understand any inner voice of the works, and how! In my opinion it is as someone can see through the notes in the mind of the composer. And this is not easy for listeners of the old schools."
