Synopsis

Album Description
This best of collection does have most of the best Skids songs on it. The raw power of the early tracks from 'Sacred To Dance' are replaced by the more polished sound of 'Days In Europa' and 'Absolute Game'. There are even 2 songs from the post-Adamson album Joy. This is a great collection for those who remember how jolly punk used to be before the leather and the skinheads killed it, a reminder of how good some of the post-punk pop really was, and, for all Big Country fans, this is where it began. Virgin. 2005.

CD Reviews

A collection of the skids' finest moments

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is the same album as "Sweet Suburbia: The Best of the Skids" with a different cover. It shows the cover art from their previous albums Scared to Dance, Fanfare, The Absolute Game & Days in Europa(which has the alternative cover showing as a small picture on the wall). It does not show their last album Joy from which 'Fields' & 'Iona' are taken.

The same 18 songs in the same order.

A great band with great songs.
