Synopsis

Product Description
Contemporary country singers Debbie and Julie Wade began singing together at the respective ages of 12 and 10, performing Everly Brothers and Patsy Cline songs throughout their native Massachusetts. After college the siblings pursued vastly different musical paths, however -- while Julie joined the cast of the "Country Music U.S.A." at the Opryland theme park, Debbie earned her Master's Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music. The Wades ultimately both settled in Nashville, resuming their collaboration by playing area showcases and writer's nights; hired as the house band at the famed Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, they were discovered by executives from the Blue Hat label, later touring in support of company co-owner Charlie Daniels. The Sisters Wade's self-titled debut album followed in mid-1999

CD Reviews

Sisters Wade

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I was in Nashville last week and saw the group in a local club. While I am not a country music fan I absolutely loved their music. It is a mixture of country, bluegrass and a little blues, with a Latin song thrown in. Very melodic and upbeat. Smooooooooth! The more I listen to it the more I like it. Reminds me of a female version of Pure Prarie League. They should be stars."

"I first heard of Sisters Wade on CMT, where I saw their "How Much Longer" video. That great song encouraged me to find their album, and it was well worth it. The Sisters are more bluegrass than country, but that's ok. I've never really listened to bluegrass before and I really like it. Give this CD a try, you won't be sorry."
This CD is great! I just love the sound of this group!

"We saw Sister's Wade at a Charlie Daniel's concert. They were great! I just had to get their CD. I love the true country sound they have!"
