Sirens Sister have fulfilled their rather grandiose promise. The band's sophomore album album, Unspeakable Things, is at once loud, dynamic, bold, and yet, also incredibly intimate and romantic. The album was recorded in the band's hometown of Seattle with both John Goodmanson & Martin Feveyear.

F-ing Brilliant Album

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I've been a fan of Sirens Sister since they first started playing shows, originally led by my interest in Vendetta Red. I know every word to their first album, "Echoes From the Ocean Floor."

"Unspeakable Things" somehow improves upon their already awesome sound. Zach Davidson's vocals are hypnotizing; somehow harsh and beautiful at the same time. The other members of the band are all skilled at their craft and blend seamlessly with each other. Last time I saw these guys live, I realized that one of the biggest things I like about this band is how tight their sound is. Every member of the band is on the same page. They're real showmen, but they are also amazing musicians.

Some albums have one or two good tracks that you find yourself gravitating toward, but this is meant to be listened to in its entirety. It has a full sound and a compelling narrative.

After listening to it for a couple months, I think my favorite songs are "The Cloak of Shadows" for its dreamy quality and guitar solo and "Unspeakable Things" for its sort of exotic, heart-pounding rock n' roll sound.

I'm kind of amazed that a band this incredible is still in relative obscurity compared to some of the awful stuff they play on the radio."
