Single Gun Theory captures a rare feeling
11/18/1999
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Single Gun Theory are a very well-kept secret. They combine the electronic feel with lyrics that from bordering on Stereolab's socio-economic awareness to the spiritual and metaphysical. Incorporating samples from around the world and Jacqui Hunt's ethereal vocals, they create a very unique and touching sound that I'm sure you'll adore. Their album "Flow, the River of my Soul" literally changed my life."
A remix album that is a true gem

"I was real disappointed when I heard that SGT broke up. I firstheard Jaqui's ethereal vocals on Delerium's classic album,"Karma". Seek it out immediately. Normally, remix albums are a big waste of time and contain duds that pale by comparison with the original cuts, but SGT gives lie to that. These remixes are driving, intense pieces that brood and will haunt you for days. Besides being prime fare for headphone listening, these are also great for working out.I sincerely hope that these folks find another musical outlet, because they are extremely talented."
