Synopsis

Product Description
The Busch-Serkin Duo made their debut in Berlin on 25 January 1921, playing a Beethoven program. From 1929 the two performed their entire repertoire from memory which intensified the rapport between them on stage. They made their American debut in 1933 with a recital at the Library of Congress. They had few rivals. Busch and Serkin pioneered the modern sonata concert and raised the status of the violin-and-piano duo. Here are some of their best live performances from the last 11 years of their collaboration.
