Great package - great price!!

"I've never known exactly how to classify Seal, especially looking back at the material on his first album. It's almost an amalgam of rock, R&B, alternative and soul, all wrapped-up in one artist. Anyways, this package is great not only in that it incorporates an excellent career-spanning collection of songs, but that you get the DVD and CD for basically the same price as most CD's alone. Here, Seal has rarely sounded better vocally, really belting it out in the live setting like he seldom has on the studio albums, and his crack back-up band lends new life to older classics like "Future Love Paradise", "Bring it on" and "Crazy". Whether in the car deck or on the tube and 5.1, this combo deal gives you a great concert experience wherever and whenever you want it!"

"I pre ordered this live cd/dvd last week and just got it yesterday.

I am totally blown away by this guy's immense talent. My family and I will be seeing him in Atlanta in three weeks, and I imagine it could very well become the best concert I've have ever attended.

Word of advice on the dvd ... be sure to play it on your home theatre as opposed to a conventional television (if you have both."

"I always liked the Seal's albums because of his lyrics and excellent voice, but the album "Live in Paris" exceeded my expectations: outstanding performance, marvelous voice, spotless sound, good selection of songs (sadly, the album doesn't include "Newborn Friend", otherwise it would be perfect). Waiting (for a long time) his live album, I'm truly satisfied with Live in Paris. An advice: buy the CD+DVD album, worth the price. The DVD includes the concert with a brilliant 5.1 sound (DTS or Dolby) plus the 2.0 Stereo option."

Finally, a live concert! And a great package deal, too.

"I just received this for Christmas and had to come "in here" to see what others think of it. I have never written a review here before, but want to share my thoughts on this one.

I absolutely love it, like others are saying - very soulful performance, and great arrangements of the songs that I love so much, too. I'm surprised that the little intricacies and subtleties that make his studio work so rich are here - sounds much better than I expected from a live performance. I also applaud his choice to release a show done in a country where the audience has respect enough for the performers to BE QUIET DURING THE SONGS, except when appropriate; I swear you could hear a pin drop in moments of this show, very refreshing! I have been to many concerts in my 40 years (including 2 with Seal!) and love the experience, but have just about had enough of the rudeness of others while there . . . sorry for the tangent . . . Anyway, I have been a big fan of Seal's since the first time hearing "Crazy" in 1991, and so, was anxious to hear what blend of songs he would contribute here. Great selection, with my only disappointment being the absence of "Violet," from his first album - one of my personal favorites (I understand the show did have to end sometime, though).

Since you're reading this, you obviously have a bit of interest in this release, and Seal, and I don't see how you could possibly be dissapointed! Great CD/DVD value! Enjoy."

"This is truly a great production - Seal and his band sound and look great, especially on a really good system.

I've seen Seal live 3 times over the last 10 years and he is definitely one of the best musical talents and performers of our generation. This DVD/CD collection is as close to being live as you can get. Every one involved in this production deserves kudos.

It's also a bargain - I would have paid twice this. In fact my wife and I are going to see him again in September for $175/ticket - but it's worth it - he's that good."
