His father plays trumpet and was into big bands and Louie Armstrong. His mother played string bass and was into classical and Aretha. His brothers were into bebop, funk, and everything in-between. Then he and his brothers got the gig with Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band and Scott was there for over 12 years, playing all over the world and getting exposed to all kinds of latin music.
