"I like almost all of Manze' stuff. But I am in no way an expert or even a seasoned listener. So, I thought I would give a quick summary of the professional reviews I googled.

All said the playing was excellent. One review said the only shortcoming was the material - being Schubert's early somewhat undeveloped "sonatinas." Another reviewer said he didn't like these pieces very much until this recording - they were done so well. The NY Times reviewer said the live performance he took in was not as perfect as the cd was. All reviewers stated the excellent work Manze and Egarr have done together in the past.

Essentially - the probability is you can't go wrong with this cd."
