Synopsis

Album Description
After travelling the world on less than an oily rag, gathering fans from brunswick to birmingham and discovering themselves musically and personally, the scare are back with their sophomore record in the form of 'oozevoodoo'. The name oozevoodoo is about the rebirth of the scare. The term ooze is in relation to the band oozing out their past and the voodoo relays the thickened soul that is developed when the scare play in a room together. The scare have channelled the swagger of the birthday party, the swing of the stones, the soul of muddy waters and the raw power of iggy pop in what is the most danceable punk rock record to have been made in years, helped along by daniel johns (silverchair) sitting in the producers chair. 'Could be bad' the first single and opening track from oozevoodoo is a perfect introduction. The killer opening guitar riffs from brock and liam sets the tone for a track laden with shakers, cow bells and a solid groove laid down by the rhythm section made up of sam pearton on drums and wade keighran on bass. Kiss' direct and distinctive crooner meets acid tongued punk vocals sing about the hard times baby but there's always a chance to work it out.
