Hypnotic

"Hypnotic electronica-tinged piano balladry, with soft, beautiful vocals and instropective lyrics that hint at post 9/11 angst. Sarah Fimm has a perfect, downtempo soundtrack for the post-election blues. Perfect for fans of Tori Amos or Happy Rhodes."
Astonishing album

"Vocally she's like a blend of Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, and something else. Lyrics are uniformily excellent, except for the slightly mediocre "Sky Is Falling Down", which seems too much like high-school poetry.
The following songs are just amazing from the standpoint of composition, lyrics, singing:
Losing Velocity
Mercury
Story of Us
Strange
Nexus
Be What You Wanna Be
Paradise
December
When was the last time a singer-songwriter issued out an album with 8 really great songs? The last I remember was Sarah McLachlan's 1997 magnum opus Surfacing. This may be Sarah Fimm's magnum opus, I don't see how she'll top this work, but given her age, she should have another great album in her. I'm surprised she's not gone multi-platinum yet. It just goes to show how important timing is, had this been released in 1998, she would have been a superstar. In the current music market, I don't know what you have to do to sell millions other then whore out like Brittney, Christina, etc.."
Great cd!

"This is a great cd!! I highly recommend this to anyone who likes alternative music. I heard her song "story of us" on the radio and just had to buy her cd, and it is worth the money."
