""Toussaint Before the Spirits" is the story of Toussaint L'Ouverture, a Haitian revolutionary and leader. A unique representation and story, a story not heard often enough in music and art. One that tells of a hero's inner emotions and voices. This is a wonderfully engaging CD, it is well crafted and very approachable. It contains beautiful music and is well executed and balanced. The music truly reflects the emotions of the storyline and lyrics. Most of the transition sections are effective and meaningful. Overall a very satisfying and enjoyable experience, both musically and emotionally."
