CD ReviewsGood music but the CD is a ripoff chefdevergue | Spokane, WA United States | 02/27/2007 (3 out of 5 stars) "I won't bother with reviewing the music itself, If you are a fan of Rubbra, his music needs no introduction, and if you are just making his acquaintance, I won't recommend this CD.
The performances & music certainly are good enough, but the CD is only 39 minutes in length. There is simply no excuse for this. Chandos also offers the 10th Symphony as played by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales (Hickox conducting) but on a CD with the 4th & 11th Symphonies; that would be the preferable choice." |
