"A great debut by trumpeter Roy Hargrove. This is a fiery hardbop delight. And on this particular CD, they're are both standards and originals. You can here a great maturity in his playing. Even at a very young age you can tell that there is something special about this young man and that he is destined to become one of the greats in jazz music. Here he is backed by a great rythym section that swings with reckless abandon. A wonderful recording from start to finish highly recomended."
