CD Reviews

Great Final Greatest Hits Vol. for RCA
R. Bible, Jr. | 07/11/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I remember when I got this cd for Christmas back in '92. It's got really good songs on it...even the new ones "LA to the Moon" and "Quicksand" are good. It sucked a little how they omitted some of his hits from the era, especially "In Love", "Houston Solution", and nothing from the "Back to the Grindstone" album. Plus, why did they put "Prisoner of the Highway" from the One More Try For Love album when they could've easily put the much better "Still Losing You", a great #1 hit from that album? Even though it has its flaws, it's still a good cd to listen to."
A Third Greatest Hits!

"Agreed...there could've been more on this cd...but listening to it(and looking at the list of tracks), it's still a great cd by now 66 year old Ronnie Milsap! Most of these I've never heard. The ones I did hear are Snap Your Fingers and A Woman In Love(on cd). This also helped to get, on cd, rare tracks, like Button Off My Shirt, which sounds mean, but oh well, can't blame him, and Prisoner Of The Highway. L.A. To The Moon and Quicksand remain exclusive. L.A. went country #45(why 45?!); Quicksand, like It's Already Taken(not on here)before it, was never released. Both deserved much better! Another custumer said RCA made a mistake placing Prisoner Of the Highway on here instead of Still Losing You. While that song was good, on that part I have to disagree; they did the right thing. Purchase this; otherwise you'll never know whether you'll like it or not!"
