Synopsis

Product Description
This CD is a collection of works for classical piano by the composers Tchaikovsky, Karganoff, Grieg, Liszt, Debussy, Casella, Lyapunov, Taneyev and Schumann, arranged into a little "dream journey": You can listen to this music for relaxation, for dreaming or simply out of musical interest. Expect a wonderful musical experience with many different musical colors and moods. The 22 selected works belong predominantly to two special musical genres: "Berceuses" and "Dreams". Berceuses are basically lullabies with an underlying swaying rhythm. The composers interpret this musical form very differently according to their ingenuity: sometimes rather dark and somewhat mysterious - sometimes very sweet, bright and delicate. "Dreams" do not follow a specific form: they are small, free fantasies. What both forms have in common is that they are (mostly) calm with a slow or moderate tempo. You will hear a few similar pieces: for example an introductory "Sérénade" by Karganoff, various Slumber- and Good-Night-"Songs" (which are not entirely only for children) and a morning song by Schumann from his cycle "Songs of the Early" (op. 133) as a conclusion. The spectrum of styles and moods ranges from romanticism and impressionism to early modernism. Look forward to an interesting, varied and atmospheric dreamy journey and get to know excellently composed works for classical piano, some of which are relatively unknown and rarely performed or recorded. More details and a complete track list can be found inside a twelve-page booklet that comes with the CD. About Robert von Heeren: Born in 1964, Robert studied classical music with classical guitar and piano from 1983 to 1990 at the Vocational School for Music and the Academy for Music (Richard Strauss Conservatory Munich) in Bavaria, Germany. In 1990 he was the best in his class in the main subject classical guitar and passed the 1st state examination as a state-certified music teacher. Subsequently, Robert taught hundreds of children and teenagers at Bavarian music schools for almost two decades. During the last decade Robert learnt hundreds of pieces for classical piano and recorded them in his homestudio, some of which he will publish on subsequent CDs.
