Standards and More

"I became a fan of Rob Mullins 12 years ago and have followed his gigs and recordings ever since. I was in the audience at Steamers in Fullerton, California, when Standards and More was recorded live. The gig was great, and I'm glad to say that the Standards and More recording is just as great. Highly recommended."
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

"I've been listening to Rob Mullins for literally years now. He gets better and better every time I hear him. Any reviewers that say otherwise are delusional. Everyone who has seen him live knows resoundingly that Rob Mullins is not only in the top of his craft, but as a true world class entertainer, constantly innovates and expands the limits on what's possible. He's one of the ONLY artists I've found that can at once be pushing the envelope while still honoring the history and heritage of the greats. Mullins' studio recordings are excellent but he is downright amazing in a live setting. That's why people in the know flock to his live performances. STANDARDS & MORE captures perfectly the energy and commitment he puts into his live shows and the way he delights the crowds. All the players in this album are world class and in my view Rob Mullins is far and away one of the best all around musicians on the scene today. You can't get better than the best! HIGHLY-HIGHLY RECOMMENDED."
Best yet by Rob Mullins!

"Hi, I was there the night this album was recorded at Steamers Jazz Club in Fullerton, and it was one of the best nights I can remember hearing jazz. Fur Elise is brilliantly done, and the other musicians are some of the finest in the US. After reading D. Hill's other reviews posted which are all one star saying that every artist's cd he's reviewed "sucks", it looks to me like he hates everything he rates. I would agree with All ABout Jazz magazine who said "Mullins Quartet displays the finest of the LA Jazz Scene" and All Music Guide which rated this CD "Highly Recommended." If you'd like to check it out yourself, a video of one of the CD tracks is on YouTube and the Rob Mullins website. Great album!"
