Reyli's earnest, emotional honesty marks Fe, a stirring collection of rock-tinged tunes. The disc is an elegant affair, tempered by Reyli's pleasingly weathered vocals and thoughtful lyrics. He touches on the complexities of love, the meaning of life, and the importance of faith--sometimes within the same song. These tunes often dig deep, complemented by jangly guitar arrangements that are still ripe for radio play. "Elena" is alternately swaggering and sensitive. "Para Siempre" and "Con un Pie en el Cielo" both ride amiable, retro rock grooves. The disc's emotional centerpiece is first single "Pegale a la Pared." It's a touching tribute to women--and a warning to cowardly men. "I'll never forget my father's advice/Hit the wall/But never a woman," Reyli sings. The mood shifts during "Para Que Pienses en Mi," a joyous duet with Concetta Costanzo, and "La Declaracion," a confident assertion of self. The optimistic title tracks closes the disc: a list of life goals that takes flight via a cheeky, cheery rock arrangement.
