CD Reviews

NO GOOD! KEEP AWAY!!!
Thomas L. Hargrove | Utah | 12/23/2003

"Yeah, great songs on here. Only problem is that the members of republica didn't even know about it until AFTER it came out, so I won't be buying it. If you're interested in Saffron (the lead singer), check out S W A R M, her new project. Ciao."
Best of... ??

"My best guess is that somebody needs some spending money, because they only have 2 CDs out to begin with (which are both excellent). There are only a few songs missing, if you have one of the CDs already, just buy the other one instead of wasting money on this."
What happened?! I was "ready to go" for a 3rd album!
Dan Cameron | Chicago | 08/22/2002

"Republica's self-titled album (1996) is one of my favorite listens, every track flows together and connects styles, energy, and unique vocal flavor. I love Saffron and I enjoyed their follow-up "Speed Ballads." I'm only saddened that this Best-Of collection seems to imply that they won't be putting anything else out. If you have the CD's, it's a waste of money. But if you don't, it's a cheap way to get lots of great electronica songs you'll get addicted to fast. I don't know what's going on with the band, but I'll cross my fingers anyway that maybe they will release something new at some point."
