"I'm A Big Kid Now, the latest release from Red Rat is a dancehall masterpiece. Working with several producers, Red Rat is his usually comedic self on this album. There are several combination tracks on the CD including "Island Boy," done with Treach from the hip hop group Naughty By Nature and Rat's significant other, Italee. There is also a track with Crissy D, Based on Millie's classic "My Boy Lollipop," here redone as "My Boy Red Rat." My favorite cut on the album is "Best Friends" with Ghost (check out his CD "Love You" too). Most of the rest of the tracks are Red Rat's pieces on recent riddims such as "Little Miss Buffet" (Orgasm), "Mi Stand Up" (New Ride), and "Chunny Mouth" (The Joker) among others. Overall, I'm A Big Kid Now is a great release for every dancehall fan."

"After having this cd for nearly a year, it has really grown away from me. In my original review I spoke of Red Rat having more lyrical content than anyone in reggae besides Sizzla. What a [fool] I was!! Red Rat doesn't really speak about anything of substance, he just kinda flows in and out. Not that there's anything wrong with that, its just that over the course of an album, it just doesn't do anything for me anymore. However, I still like songs like Taiye, and Island Boy. Red Rat is a dancehall artist for the younger people. Kids will eat this one up for the most part (minus Skin a Slap). Still bigup Red Rat and Greensleeves as this ended up being one of their biggest sellers ever."
