CD ReviewsThese appear to be at least 13 of his 41 songs from 1949-195 Chris bct | San Diego, CA USA | 04/03/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "There are at minimum, 27 different releases on 24 different labels of his Swing Time & Down Beat Recordings (Downbeat became Swingtime) from 1949-1952 when he was 19 to 22 years old. These songs set a mood. Like reggae, they take you to a different place. I love this stuff. It's some of his finest material if you ask me. Sweet, clean, powerful, emotional. There's about 41 to 42 released songs from this period and they appear on both The Complete Swing Time & Down Beat Recordings 1949-1952 and Ray Charles 45 Great Performances, both 2xCD sets."
