"While I would agree with the previous reviewer that there are perhaps better interpretations of each of these works (particularly Janis in the 1st and Rubinstein in the Rhapsody), I still feel this disc gives excellent value for the money. Certainly Rachmaninoff's 2nd and 3rd concertos are more widely heard, and people will probably want to get a higher profile pianist for each (I like Richter in the 2nd and either Horowitz or Argerich in the 3rd). However, this disc makes a good complement for someone who has such copies of 2 and 3 and wants to sample Rachmaninoff's lesser heard works for a reasonable price. I would characterize Glemser's playing more as impetuous rather than merely speedy or facile, and for $6, I am well satisfied with this disc."
